該過濾器安裝在液壓系統的壓力管路上，用于清除或阻止液壓油中混入的機械雜質和液壓本身化學變所產生的膠質、瀝青質、炭渣質等，從而防止閥芯卡死、節流小孔、縫隙和阻尼孔的堵塞以及液壓元件過快磨損等故障發生。該過濾器設有壓差發訊器，當濾芯被污染堵塞到進出油口壓差為0.35mpa時，即發出開關信號，此時應清洗或更換濾芯，以達到保證系統安全的目的；旁通止回閥：當濾芯被污染堵塞到壓差為0.4mpa時，或其它原因引起過濾器進出油口壓差過大，旁通閥能自動開啟保證系統正常工作，當清洗或更換濾芯時，為防止系統油液回流及阻止壓力管路的油液流失，避免空氣和污染物質進入系統，又可以使油液反向非過濾流動，反射流量為公稱流量的四分之一。濾芯采用新型化纖過濾材質，因此具有過濾精度高，通油能力大，原始壓力損失小，納污量大等優點，其過濾精度以絕對過濾精度標定，過濾比9 3、5、10、20> 100，過濾效率n> 99%
