膨脹石墨墊片又稱柔性石墨墊片是從膨脹石墨卷材或板材打孔或切割而成的，膨脹石墨不含粘結劑和填充物，因此純度很高，具有良好的防腐蝕性， 耐高/低溫，良好的壓縮回彈性和高強度性，適用于低壓部位的密封，可以防止石墨和法蘭間產生的電化腐蝕。
可以制作成各種各樣的圓型的復雜的幾何墊片，膨脹石墨墊片還可以在內外圈做成包邊形式，且便于安裝、拆卸，不易損壞。被廣泛用于管道、閥門、泵、壓力容器、熱交換器、冷凝器、發電機、空氣壓縮機、排氣管、制冷機等的密封。
